Man killed in Wednesday shooting near McCarran ID’d
The man who died Wednesday night after an apartment-complex shooting near McCarran International Airport was identified by the coroner's office Thursday.
David Cameron Batts, 39, died after 10:30 p.m., when Las Vegas police responded to a call that a man had been shot at 840 King Richard Ave., near the intersection of Hacienda Avenue and Swenson Street, according to dispatch logs.
As of Thursday afternoon, Metro did not have any details about the shooting.
"The investigation is in the very early stages, and there is very little information at this time," Metro Lt. Mark Lourenco said.
