Man shot, killed in northwest valley

Las Vegas police say a man was shot and killed early Saturday morning in the northwest valley.

Police received a 911 call at approximately 3:41 a.m. reporting a man who was laying on the ground in a housing complex in the 6200 Block of Ilanos Lane, near Lake Mead and Jones boulevards.

First responders found a man suffering from multiple apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The early investigation by homicide detectives indicated the man was seen falling out of the passenger’s side of a vehicle. A woman came out of the driver’s side of the vehicle, walked over to the male and then drove away. Police said detectives have identified a vehicle and a woman of interest.

The vehicle is a 2005 four-door Hyundai Accent, red in color, with Nevada license plates 953LHT.

The woman of interest is 27-year-old Stacey Thomas, who police describe as 5 feet 8 inches tall and 285 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

The identity of the man, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office, once his family has been notified.
