Man shot, wounded in southeast valley home invasion
A man is expected to survive after being shot during a home invasion at a southeast valley home Wednesday night, Las Vegas police said.
Officers were called to a break-in at the home in the 3400 block of Wingrove Avenue, near the intersection of Pecos and Desert Inn roads, shortly before 7 p.m., Metro spokeswoman officer Laura Meltzer said Thursday.
A man was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with at least a gunshot wound after someone forced themselves into the home and shot him, Meltzer said.
Information on the extent of the man’s injuries was not immediately available, but he was expected to survive, Meltzer said.
Metro’s robbery detectives took over the investigation, Meltzer said, and a shooter has not been identified or arrested.
