Man with Alzheimer’s missing for a week, police say

A 73-year-old man whose family has not seen him in a week has been reported missing, according to North Las Vegas police.

Hollis Thompson was last seen the morning of Jan. 7 when he left his house, in the 400 block of Recco Avenue, near the intersection of Lake Mead Bouelvard and Losee Road, to go to the store.

Thompson was reported missing Tuesday night, police said. His family said he has Alzheimer’s disease and is dependent on medication.

He is described to be 6 feet tall and 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Thompson was last seen wearing a blue and black hooded sweatshirt, a red checkered shirt, blue jeans and gray and black tennis shoes.
