Metro on Thursday asked for help finding a man who shot a Subway restaurant employee during a Wednesday afternoon robbery.
Las Vegas police and a medical crew were called about 2:40 p.m. to the restaurant in the 8700 block of Maryland Parkway, near the Wigwam Avenue intersection.
A man shot the Subway worker after demanding money, police said. That person was taken to University Medical Center in serious condition.
It wasn’t clear whether the man took any money.
The shooter was described by Metro as being a black man about 25 to 30 years old. He weighs about 145 pounds and stands between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 6 inches, police said.
In a surveillance photo Metro released, the man was wearing a black T-shirt with white lettering and a black baseball cap with white lettering. His face is not visible.
He was last seen leaving the restaurant on foot through the back, police said.
