Las Vegas police Monday asked for the public's help in identifying a man they said is responsible for a fatal stabbing at an east valley homeless camp in September.
Metro released a mugshot from 2014 of Brandon Williams, 34, and said a warrant has been issued for his arrest in connection with the Sept. 21 stabbing death of Michael Humphrey, 51.
Williams is transient and goes by the name of "Seven," police said.
Police said another man stabbed Humphrey in the neck near the intersection of Owens Avenue and Sandhill Road. Humphrey died at University Medical Center.
The killer fled after the stabbing. Police said in September that they knew who they were looking for in connection with the stabbing.
Anyone with any information about this incident or Williams' whereabouts of Williams can contact Metro's Homicide Section at 702-828-3521 or homicide@lvmpd.com.
