Motorcyclist killed in crash identified

The person killed in a fatal motorcycle crash in the southwest valley Sunday night was identified as a 38-year-old Las Vegan, the Clark County Coroner’s office said.

Authorities said Brandon Dean Harris was speeding and recklessly riding his yellow Honda CHR600 motorcycle eastbound on Blue Diamond Highway near Arlington Ranch Boulevard about 7:45 p.m. when he collided with a gray 2006 Honda CRV attempting to turn left from a westbound lane.

Harris hit the right side of the CRV, causing him to be thrown from the motorcycle, the Nevada Highway Patrol said. Harris died at Spring Valley Hospital and Medical Center.

The 67-year-old female driver of the CRV was taken to University Medical Center with minor injuries.
