NLV organizations to host candidate meet-and-greet
North Las Vegas residents will have the opportunity to meet 40 candidates running for office in November elections.
The North Las Vegas Alliance of Homeowner Associations and Concerned Citizens is teaming up with the North Valley Community Development Corporation and Sun City Aliante to host a meet and greet Oct. 22 at the Sun City Aliante community center.
The center, at the northeast corner of Elkhorn Road and Aliante Parkway, will open its doors at 7 p.m. The event is expected to last about 2 hours.
Candidates for the offices of county sheriff, judge and constable and congressional offices will attend.
Although early voting will be underway, attendees are encouraged to bring their sample ballots to take notes, said Jeff Alpert, the secretary of the North Las Vegas alliance.
Early voting continues through Oct 31. Election day is Nov. 4.
