North Las Vegas police looking for suspect in shooting

North Las Vegas police are seeking the public’s help in finding a man involved in a shooting that critically wounded another man Wednesday.

Terry Johnson, 38, is accused of shooting a 42-year-old man in the 900 block of Country Grove Avenue, near Carey Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard, police said Saturday.

The wounded man was initially listed in critical condition but has since been upgraded to stable condition, police said. He remains at University Medical Center.

Witnesses told police that the two men, who apparently know each other, were arguing before a shot was fired about 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Johnson left the scene of the shooting, police said.

Johnson stands about 6-feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos including one on his right forearm that reads “Hillside,” one on his upper right arm that represents a skull and one his left forearm that read “Micey” and “WPC.”
