The crash occurred around 6:45 p.m. on East Windmill Lane at Rancho Destino Road. A 32-year-old man was driving a 2003 Ford Mustang GT east on Windmill approaching Rancho Destino on a wet road due to rain, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
He lost control and left the road where the Ford hit a short wall in front of a house, a fire hydrant and a light pole, police said.
The driver was ejected onto the sidewalk and died at the scene, according to police.
