Two men facing murder charges appeared in court Tuesday following their arrests in connection with shootings that left a 50-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman dead.

A 22-year-old man accused of fatally shooting a man in a Las Vegas convenience store parking lot then randomly opening fire on three other people was ordered held without bail.
The attack, which left a man dead, occurred on the 3300 block of Tenaya Way, south of Gowan Road, about 4 miles as the crow flies from the earlier fatal stabbing in Summerlin.
John Anthony Carrillo, 29, also is accused in other “criminal incidents” since Saturday, including domestic battery, grand larceny of a vehicle and robbery, police said.
The body of Daniel Halselth, whose daughter has been charged with murder in connection with his death, sustained about 70 stab wounds during the fatal attack and “mutilation,” according to an autopsy report.
“It was frustrating that we were having difficulty developing a suspect,” Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo told the Review-Journal on Wednesday.
An FBI task force arrested the mother, Samantha Moreno Rodriguez, early Tuesday in Denver on suspicion of murder, Las Vegas police said.
