Pedestrian injured in Dec. 21 crash dies days later

A pedestrian critically injured when hit by a car on Dec. 21 died, according to a release from Metro.
Police were notified of his death on Christmas Day.
The pedestrian, 70-year-old Kenneth Kleckner, was walking across Charleston Boulevard near Brush Street about 10:43 p.m. when an Acura crashed into him, police said.
The Acura, occupied by driver Denise Salgado, 20, and passenger Dayanna Salgado, 18, was traveling westbound on Charleston Boulevard when it struck Kleckner, who was inside of a marked crosswalk, police said.
Kleckner was taken to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. He later succumbed to those injuries.
This is the 124th traffic related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction in 2015.
