Pedestrian struck and killed on Tropicana

A 46-year-old pedestrian was killed Sunday after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Tropicana Avenue just west of Paradise Road.

The accident occurred shortly after
9 p.m., Las Vegas police said.

The Clark County coroner’s office identified the man as Guyle Hirschman.

Hirschman was crossing Tropicana outside of the designated crosswalk when he was hit by a 2012 Ford Escape traveling eastbound in the far right lane.

The driver, a 58-year-old woman, was uninjured.

It was the 37th traffic fatality in Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction in 2013.
