Pedestrian struck, killed on Decatur Boulevard
An 83-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a car in the 1700 block of North Decatur Boulevard north of Vegas Drive on Thursday morning, Las Vegas police said.
Witnesses said the woman was crossing Decatur from east to west outside of a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a southbound 1998 Isuzu pickup.
Police said the truckw as driven by Robert Severin, 58.
The accident, which took place at 10:21 a.m., was being investigated.
It was the fifth traffic-related death in the Police Department's jurisdiction this year.
