Police ask for public’s help to identify suspects in downtown homicide

Las Vegas police are seeking the public’s help in finding two suspects that may have been involved in a downtown homicide, according to a news release.

A man was admitted to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center on March 1 for injuries from a possible fight, and was declared brain dead March 2.

The man might have been attacked near 15th Street and Fremont Street about 11 p.m. Feb. 28, after being chased there from El Cortez by two men.

Police are seeking any witnesses who saw a fight or chase near the area at that time, as well as one other person of interest. Metro describes him as a tall, thin black man with long dreadlocks who frequently rides a bicycle.

This marks the 29th homicide investigated by Metro this year.

Anyone with information can contact Metro’s homicide division at 702-828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
