Police clear Paradise Park of hundreds from after fight, report of gun

Police cleared hundreds of people Saturday night from Paradise Park and Recreation Center.

Shortly after 7 p.m., police received a call reporting a fight in the park, Metro Lt. Jeff Goodwin said. One of the individuals involved in the fight was reported to have a gun.

Park police requested the assistance of Metro in clearing 400 to 500 people from the park, located between McLeod and Harrison Drives near East Tropicana Avenue. Police said many were violating park rules.

No gunshots, injuries or arrests were reported.
