Police searching for suspected jewelry thief

Las Vegas police are seeking the public’s help to find a man suspected in a jewelry theft in downtown Las Vegas earlier this month.

In a statement Wednesday, the Metropolitan Police Department said it received a report of a theft from a shop in the 1300 block of South Main Street at 2:51 p.m. March 2.

The suspect is described as a bald white man, 25 to 35 years of age, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds. The suspect has a large tattoo covering his left forearm and a tattoo on his right biceps.

The suspect is believed to be driving a newer model silver four-door Cadillac with a sunroof. The suspect may also be driving a silver Saturn Sky roadster with a black convertible top, police said.
