Residents near Charleston, Rainbow boulevards without power
About 40 percent of customers are back with power following the outage affecting more than 800 residents near Charleston and Rainbow boulevards, according to NV Energy Inc.
The Monday outage affected those in the 89145 zip code about 1:50 p.m. The cause of the outage is still under investigation, but the company’s spokeswoman suspects equipment failure. Power is expected to be fully restored about 6 p.m.
NV Energy’s website lists 683 customers without power after up to 835 customers were initially affected by the area’s outage.
