ROAD ALERT: Lane closures planned on Decatur
Motorists traveling on Decatur Boulevard between Vegas Drive and Lake Mead Boulevard will face lane restrictions for the next four weeks as the city of Las Vegas makes pedestrian crossing improvements.
The work will include modifications to a median island, construction of a pedestrian island, extension of electrical power to new streetlights, installation of northbound and southbound flashers and signage.
Most of the work will require a single lane to be closed in each direction.
Closure of an additional lane might be required periodically, but those closures will be restricted to between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to minimize travel impact.
The single-lane closures might be kept up during overnight periods to protect work zones.
