Rollover accident cleared at Flamingo and Hualapai

Two eastbound lanes of West Flamingo Road near Hualapai Way have reopened after a rollover accident Wednesday morning, police say.

The far right lane of southbound Hualapai Way also was closed because of the two-car crash, Metro Lt. David Gordon said about 7:30 a.m.. All roads have since opened.

A 25-year-old man was transported to University Medical Center with injuries that are believed to be nonlife-threatening, Gordon said. That man’s Ford Explorer collided with a Nissan Maxima and rolled over onto its passenger side. The driver of the Explorer was able to crawl out of his vehicle after the crash.

The driver of the Nissan, a 20-year-old man, sustained a cut to his hand and was not transported.
