Scooter rider killed in North Las Vegas; other driver flees

A 51-year-old man died Monday night after being struck by a car while riding a scooter, North Las Vegas police said.

It happened about 11:15 p.m. in the 3100 block of East Craig Road, near Interstate 15, according to a news release said.

The Las Vegas man was pronounced dead at the scene. He will be identified by the Clark County coroner's office.

The driver of the vehicle fled, police said.
