Southbound U.S. 95 reopens after morning accident

Traffic on U.S. Highway 95 was shut down briefly Tuesday morning after an accident.
All southbound lanes were blocked about 5:30 a.m. after a multi-car accident between the Charleston Boulevard and Boulder Highway exits, according to the Regional Transportation Commission.
Lanes were open as of 7:30 a.m., although there was still heavy congestion on the roads.
The extent of injuries was not immediately known.
