SWAT response to southeast valley home ends without injury

SWAT units responded to reports of a man firing a gun in his house Tuesday evening, Las Vegas police say.

Officers went to Ladera Circle, near Pecos Road and Tropicana Avenue, just before 8 p.m. after a man’s parents requested a welfare check for their son who lives with them, Lt. Mark Reddon said. They told police he had a history of drug use and had two guns in the house. The parents were not in the house when the gun was fired.

After 11 p.m., Reddon said the incident ended without injury to anyone.
