Three injured in fire at mobile home

A fire that started in a propane barbecue grill injured three people and damaged a mobile home Saturday evening in the northwest valley, the Clark County Fire Department said.

At 5:51 p.m., the Clark County Fire Department responded to a fire in a mobile home located at 5994 Rocky Mountain Ave., near the intersection of East Lake Mead Boulevard and East Carey Avenue, Deputy Fire Chief John Steinbeck said.

The fire started from a propane barbecue that caught fire and the fire extended to the exterior wall of the mobile home, Steinbeck said.

Three adults were treated on scene for unspecified injuries, and one man was taken to University Medical Center for burns on his feet and hands, Steinbeck said.

Damage to the structure was estimated at $5,000.
