Traffic was halted on southbound U.S Highway 95 near Eastern Avenue following a vehicle fire, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada said Sunday evening.
Drivers were warned to expect long delays, RTC said.
Firefighters were called to the moderate fire about 7:20 p.m., the fire department’s website said. Traffic was initially completely shut down and drivers were advised to take an alternate route.
One lane was opened quickly, but delays continued past 9 p.m.
