Two children hit by car in front of elementary school

Two elementary school pupils were injured Friday morning when they were struck by a car.

Both children were taken to University Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening, Las Vegas police said.

The collision happened at 7:49 a.m. in front of Culley Elementary School at 1200 Mallard St. in the northwest valley.

Police said a citation was issued to the driver of the car.
