U.S. 95 closures to affect drivers next week

The Nevada Department of Transportation will start eight days of lane and ramp closures on U.S. Highway 95 in the northwest valley starting Monday.

The closures are related to Phase 1 of the U.S. 95 Northwest Corridor Project. Message boards will be put up to alert motorists of the dates and times of the closures.

The closures are as follows:

■ Monday, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.: The northbound right lane and shoulder will be closed from the Lake Mead Boulevard onramp to the Cheyenne Avenue offramp.

The Lake Mead northbound onramp also will be closed. Motorists will be able to exit via the Cheyenne northbound offramp.

■ Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.: The northbound right lane and shoulder will be closed from the Cheyenne onramp to the Craig Road onramp. The Cheyenne onramp northbound will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Craig onramp and offramp northbound will be closed from 1 to 3 p.m.

■ Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.: The southbound right lane and shoulder will be closed from the Rancho Drive flyover to the Gowan Road bridge. The Craig onramp southbound will be closed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

■ Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.: The southbound right lane and shoulder will be closed from Smoke Ranch Road to the Lake Mead offramp. The Lake Mead offramp will also be closed. Flaggers will be at Rock Springs Drive and Lake Mead for trucks exiting.

■ 9 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday: The southbound right lane from north of the Ann Road bridge to the Rancho flyover will be closed. The southbound Ann onramp also will be closed.

■ 7 a.m. Oct. 20 to 5 a.m. Oct. 22: Cheyenne will be closed from Rainbow Boulevard to Tenaya Way. The northbound and southbound Cheyenne onramps and offramps to U.S. 95 also will be closed.

■ 7 a.m. Oct. 21 to 5 a.m. Oct. 22: Rock Springs and the eastbound Lake Mead onramp to southbound U.S. 95 will be closed.
