Las Vegas Fire and Rescue firefighters rescued a window washer who became stranded between the seventh and eighth floors of a downtown building Monday morning.
The window washer, a man working at 330 S. Third St., was brought to safety by a female firefighter, fire officials said.
The window washer’s machine that lifts him became stuck and he knocked on a window, asking the person indoors to call the fire department, said Timothy Szymanski, a spokesman for the fire department.
The firefighter, attached to a rope, connected her harness to the window washer’s harness, bringing him down. The fire department got the call at 10:35 a.m. and the window washer was on the ground by 11:49 a.m. Monday.
The eastbound lanes of Lewis Avenue were blocked off due to the incident, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
