Woman and child injured in 3-vehicle central valley crash

A woman and child were taken to the hospital Monday after a three-vehicle crash in central Las Vegas, according to Las Vegas police.

Two sedans and a pickup crashed at about 12:20 p.m. in the southbound lanes of north Martin Luther King Boulevard near Owens Avenue, Metro spokesman Micheal Rodriguez said.

The woman and child were taken to University Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries, Rodriguez said.

The southbound lanes of Martin Luther King, north of Owens have been cleared, he said.

Metro is still investigating the crash.
