Woman dies in three-car accident in Henderson

A 64-year-old Henderson woman died Wednesday afternoon in a three-car accident in Henderson.

According to Henderson police, the woman was riding in a 2012 Nissan driven by Patricia Carameli, 63, when the car, driving north on Eastgate Road, failed to yield at an intersection and was struck by a Ford F-150 traveling west on Warm Springs Road. The Nissan spun and also struck a 2005 Dodge minivan.

The woman, who Henderson police say may not have been wearing a seat belt, was taken to St. Rose Dominican Hospital, de Lima campus, where she died. The Clark County coroner will release the woman's name after her family is notified.

Two other passengers in the Nissan were taken to St. Rose with injuries. Drivers and passengers in the Ford F-150 and Dodge minivan sustained minor or non-life-threatening injuries.

The woman's death was the 11th traffic-related fatality in Henderson. Police do not believe speeding, alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
