The woman arrested Saturday afternoon in connection with a shooting two hours earlier in the northwest valley faces an attempted murder charge, according to Las Vegas police.
Daqueasha Duanae Fowler, 20, was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Saturday in connection with a shooting just after 2:30 p.m. in a parking lot at 5400 Cheyenne Ave., near Rancho Drive, where officers found a woman who was shot. Police believe Fowler fired numerous rounds in the apartment complex.
The wounded woman, whose head was struck by a bullet fragment, was taken to University Medical Center. Police said she was alert, conscious and talking when she was transported. She was released just before 5 p.m. Saturday.
The incident involved the wounded woman, an ex-boyfriend and his female friend, police said.
Fowler faces one charge of attempted murder with a deadly weapon. She is being held at Clark County Detention Center without bail and is scheduled to appear in court Monday morning.
