Woman found slain near the Strip
A woman was found dead on a sidewalk after a shooting near the Strip early Saturday morning, according to Las Vegas police.
Police were called to the 2600 block of Industrial Road where they found the woman dead from a gunshot wound just after 5:20 a.m.
The investigation showed that the woman was shot by a man, who fled the scene on foot. Motive for the shooting was unknown and no arrests had been made by later afternoon.
Further details weren’t immediately available.
The Clark County coroner’s office will identify the woman and determine her cause of death once next of kin has been notified.
