Woman shot in North Las Vegas

A woman was critically injured in a north valley shooting on Friday, North Las Vegas police said.

Officers were called to the 2600 block of Small Mountain Avenue, near West Ann Road, about 7:30 p.m., police said.

The 20-year-old woman was shot once while she was in a vehicle, police said. She was taken to University Medical Center in “extremely critical condition,” police said.

Police were on the scene Friday night and a suspect had not been identified.
