Woman who seemed OK after December crash has died, police say
A 74-year-old woman’s death in December was confirmed to be the result of car crash, Las Vegas police said Thursday.
Sharon Fuller, of Las Vegas, died at Sunrise Hospital Medical Center on Dec. 28 — nine days after she was in a collision in the east valley. Metro’s traffic fatality detectives were notified that the death may have been the result of the crash, and the Clark County coroner’s office confirmed that Thursday, police said.
Fuller died from complications resulting from blunt force trauma.
Police said Fullerton was driving a 1999 Saturn SL north on Lamb Boulevard and that it collided with a 2000 Chevrolet Express when she was turning left to westbound Wyoming Avenue. There was a flashing yellow turn arrow.
Fuller and a 14-year-old girl riding with her were taken to Sunrise Hospital with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening at the time, police said. The 74-year-old man driving the Chevrolet was also injured.
Fuller was the 95th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction in 2014.
