Inmate dies in medical facility at Northern Nevada Correctional Center

A 70-year-old inmate died at the regional medical facility at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City on Thursday, according to the The Nevada Department of Corrections.

Inmate Eric Brown was serving four to 10 years for abuse, neglect or endangerment of a child. Brown started his sentence Sept. 26, 2011.

The Department of Corrections reported he died from a chronic medical condition. The Carson City coroner’s office will conduct an autopsy.
