Man killed, teen injured in motorcycle wreck in northwest Arizona

A man was killed and a teenager was injured in a Monday motorcycle wreck in Dolan Springs in northwest Arizona.

The name of the Dolan Springs resident who died at the scene of the 5:36 a.m. accident was withheld pending notification of kin, the Mohave County sheriff’s office said.

Agency spokeswoman Trish Carter said a female passenger on the motorcycle was transported to a Kingman hospital for treatment of her injuries. She said neither victim was wearing a helmet when the motorcycle crashed after failing to negotiate a curve on Pierce Ferry Road.

Carter said speed is a factor of focus in the accident investigation.
