CARSON CITY — Gov. Brian Sandoval on Thursday announced the appointment of Anthony “Tony” Wren to the Nevada Tax Commission, replacing longtime member Joan Lambert who resigned.
Wren is a partner at Anthony J. Wren and Associates, a real estate appraisal firm in Reno.
“Tony will bring a small-business perspective to the Tax Commission and help ensure processes are efficient for our thriving private sector,” Sandoval said in a statement.
Wren’s term will run through October 2019.
Sandoval also named current Commissioner James DeVolld as chairman of the eight-member board. DeVolld was appointed to the commission in 2012.
Under state law, the chairman is entitled to an annual salary of $27,500. Commission members receive $20,000.
