Double-digit temps expected in Las Vegas Valley next week

Temperatures in the Las Vegas Valley are expected to be near normal this week.

After an almost 15-degree drop in temperatures Saturday, Sunday’s high will reach 92 degrees. The average forecast high for this time of year is 96 degrees, the National Weather Service said.

A 10 to 15 percent chance of showers will linger the valley Sunday, according to the weather service, but skies should be mostly sunny.

No other rainfall is expected the rest of the week. “Pretty much looks dry through the forecast,” meteorologist Caleb Steele said.

Monday will be the warmest day in the valley this week at 98 degrees, but temperatures will begin to decrease starting with Tuesday’s 97-degree high. Wednesday should be near 94 degrees, followed by a 91-degree high Thursday and Friday.
