Highs temps to be ‘well above normal’ this week in Las Vegas

Temperatures in the Las Vegas Valley are expected to be “well above normal” this week, the National Weather Service said Monday.

The average temperature for this time of the year is about 78 degrees, said meteorologist Andy Gorelow.

The forecast for Tuesday includes a high of 87 degrees with possible wind gusts of up to 25 mph.

The temperature could drop a bit — to a high of 83 Wednesday — with Thursday’s temperature expected to tick up slightly to 84 degrees, the weather service said. Temperatures should cool slightly this weekend, with a high of 80 degrees expected on Friday. Saturday is expected to reach 81 degrees.
