Rain, wind expected Sunday in Las Vegas Valley

The Las Vegas Valley’s recent warm temperatures are expected to drastically decrease this weekend as stormy winds move in Sunday, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday saw a high of 79 and a low of 57 degrees, weather service meteorologist Nathan Foster said.

Saturday is expected to be mostly cloudy, and have a 78 degree high and 58 degree low.

The high for Sunday should reach 67, with mostly cloudy skies and a 60 percent chance of rain, according to the weather service. The weather service has issued a wind advisory for Sunday, especially between the times of noon and 8 p.m. with expected wind gusts up to 45 mph, meteorologist Reid Wilcott said.

The high temperature is expected to drop to 60 degrees by Monday with a 40 percent chance of showers, according to the weather service.
