ROUNDUP: Marschik bests field by nearly a minute to lead Arbor View boys to win
Arbor View’s Greg Marschik covered a 3.1-mile course in 16 minutes, 57 seconds to lead the Aggies’ boys cross country team to victory with 19 points Tuesday at Community Park.
Faith Lutheran was second with 39. The Crusaders were led by Anthony Ponticello, who placed second in 17:54.
Arbor View’s Tyler Bradburn was third in 18:23.
Greene helps Falcons to win
At Foothill, the host Falcons won a three-team meet behind Carl Greene’s first-place finish on a 2.5-mile course in 12:35.
Silverado’s Dante Carter took second in 12:50, and teammate Dennis Coughlin was third in 13:32.
Foothill finished with 23 team points, followed by Silverado (37) and Liberty (80).
Carrasco leads Cougars to win
At Tech, Alex Carrasco placed second individually to lead Coronado to victory with 30 points.
Tech (43) was second, followed by Basic (59) and Boulder City (90).
Tech’s Zach Zimdars won the 3.1-mile race in 18:13, followed by Carrasco (18:38) and Basic’s Jonny Stiles (18:38).
