The sophomore shot 2-over-par 74 to win the Sunrise Region championship and lead the Cougars to the team title at Red Rock Country Club.

The sophomore outside hitter had a total of 37 kills to lead the Longhorns to victories over Palo Verde and Arbor View. Carter had 16 kills in a 3-2 non-league win over Arbor View, which currently is undefeated in Northwest League play.

ARBOR VIEW — Girls cross country runner Caitlyn Hoggan posted a personal record of 20 minutes, 5.5 seconds for 3.1 miles in the "B" race at the Northwest League finals at Craig Ranch Park. Boys cross country runner Will McCullough had a personal record of 18:39.1 for 3.1 miles in the "B" race at the Northwest League finals.

BONANZA — Girls cross country runner Esmeralda Hinojos posted a personal record time of 21 minutes, 2.8 seconds for 3.1 miles to place 10th in the Northwest League finals at Craig Ranch Park.

CENTENNIAL — Girls volleyball player Kjersten Saunders had two aces and 23 digs in a 3-0 victory over Bonanza. Football player Tishawn Barnaby had four tackles, including one for loss, in a 44-8 win over Cimarron-Memorial.

CORONADO — Girls cross country runner Jessica Attebery placed second in the Southeast League finals at Craig Ranch Park, covering the 3.1-mile course in 20 minutes, 17.8 seconds to lead the Cougars to the team title.

DESERT OASIS — Girls cross country runner Madelyn Doerr placed 11th in the Northwest League finals at Craig Ranch Park, with a time of 21 minutes, 16.1 seconds for 3.1 miles. Boys tennis player Caiden Jacob won two matches in the Sunset Region singles tournament.

FAITH LUTHERAN — Boys tennis player Jack Stevens won his opening match in the I-A Southern Region singles tournament 6-0, 6-0. Girls tennis player Madison Foley advanced to her third consecutive I-A Southern Region singles final, placing second.

GREEN VALLEY — Girls cross country runner Mia Smith won the Southeast League finals at Craig Ranch Park with a personal record time of 19 minutes, 58.2 seconds for 3.1 miles, almost a minute faster than her previous best for that distance. Boys cross country runner Austin Rogers claimed the Southeast League championship with a time of 15:45.2 seconds, also a personal record.

MOJAVE — Boys soccer player Antonio Perez had five goals in a 7-3 victory over Faith Lutheran. Girls volleyball player Sua Estrada had 23 assists and eight digs in a 3-0 victory over Cheyenne.

MOUNTAIN VIEW — Football player Bernard Williams had 128 total yards and scored four touchdowns in a 42-0 victory over Calvary Chapel. Girls volleyball player Shaunice Simmons had 25 digs against Beatty.

PALO VERDE — Football player Thaddeus Wiley rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns in a 47-0 victory over Durango.

SIERRA VISTA — Girls golfer Aliyah Williams shot 27-over-par 99 at Mountain Falls in Pahrump to place ninth in the Division I-A Southern Region tournament and earn a berth at state. Football player Daniel Godfrey rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown, had 10 tackles and an interception in a 14-7 victory over Spring Valley.
