ROUNDUP: Burdett fans eight, helps Mountain Lions past Bengals

Tyler Burdett tossed a six-hitter with eight strikeouts and no walks, and had an two-run single at the plate to help Sierra Vista’s baseball team to a 9-4 road win over Bonanza on Thursday.
Sierra Vista took advantage of nine walks, three wild pitches, two balks and a hit batsmen, and used a seven-run fourth inning to pull away.
William Silcox belted a three-run homer to key the fourth-inning burst for the Mountain Lions, who got a double each from Connor Klein and Nolan Kingham.
Adam Merino and Cruz Nevarez each supplied a double for Bonanza, which got a triple from Jake Zebe.
Sierra Vista moved to 7-4 and into third place in the Southwest League. Bonanza is tied for fifth with Desert Oasis at 6-5, percentage points behind Durango, which is 5-4.
Shadow Ridge 6, Cimarron-Memorial 4 — At Cimarron, the Mustangs scored five runs in the top of the first and held on to hand the Spartans their first Northwest League loss.
Shadow Ridge had five singles in the inning and took advantage of a pair of Cimarron errors to take the early advantage.
Mike Wager was 3-for-4 with an RBI for Shadow Ridge. Logan Hold went the distance, allowing no earned runs on five hits while striking out five, to get the win.
Josh Nuernberg drove in two runs for the Spartans.
Palo Verde 9, Faith Lutheran 3 — At Palo Verde, Chris Hopballe was 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs, and Andrew Dalaimo was 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs to lead the Panthers past the Crusaders.
Palo Verde used a seven-run fourth inning to take control.
Caleb Summerhays went 2-for-2 with a double and a run to lead Faith Lutheran.
Centennial 9, Legacy 1 — At Legacy, Mike Yenkowski had three hits and three RBIs to help the Bulldogs down the Longhorns.
Bryan Bonnell went the distance to get the win, allowing an unearned run on five hits. He struck out eight and walked two.
Will Loucks and Casey Moses each had two hits for Centennial.
Alex Wenzel had a hit and an RBI for Legacy.
Bishop Gorman 11, Desert Oasis 1 — At Gorman, Johnny Sewald tossed a three-hitter with seven strikeouts and went 3-for-3 with an RBI to lead the Gaels by the Diamondbacks in five innings.
Cameron Cole was 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI, and Jerrel Latham went 2-for-3 for Gorman, which scored 10 runs in the final two innings.
Joey Gallo was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and A.J. VanMeetren drove in three runs for the Gaels.
Western 13, Clark 1 — At Clark, Josh Yocum went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs as the Warriors downed the Chargers in five innings.
Daniel Carrillo was 2-for-2 with a double and a RBI for Western, which outhit Clark, 12-7.
Mojave 15, Cheyenne 5 — At Mojave, freshman Tyler Ledgister hit a three-run triple in the bottom of the third inning to give the Rattlers the lead, and they added 10 runs in the fourth to cruise to the five-inning win.
Anthony Walker went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs for Mojave, and teammate Carlos Romo went 3-for-3 with three RBIs.
Spring Valley 18, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Robby Brewster was 4-for-4 with a double and three RBIs and also pitched a one-hitter to lead the Grizzlies to the five-inning win.
Brewster struck out seven and walked one.
Drew LaComb was 3-for-3 with a double, three runs and three RBIs, and Jose Rosales-Rodarte went 2-for3- with three RBIs for Spring Valley.
Michael Macove went 2-for-2 with a double, a triple, three runs and two RBIs for the Grizzlies.
Durango 10, Moapa Valley 3 — At Durango, Scott Martinez was 4-for-4 with a double, a triple and two RBIs to help the Trailblazers top the Pirates.
Vince Lombardi was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Durango.
