ROUNDUP: Motis’ seventh-inning blast rallies Diamondbacks past Warriors

Kyle Motis belted a two-run home run with two outs in the top of the the seventh inning Tuesday to rally Desert Oasis’ baseball team to a 7-6 win at Western.

Tyler Condie singled to lead off the inning and scored on Motis’ blast. Motis also had an RBI double, and Condie supplied two hits and a run scored.

Jossaiah Raval had two triples and three runs for Desert Oasis.

Western threatened in the bottom of the seventh, getting a leadoff single from Anthony Chojnacki, but Diamondback catcher Cody Schmidt threw out Chojnacki trying to steal.

The Warriors drew three walks in the seventh before Dominic Paratore struck out the final two batters.
Chojnacki finished 2-for-3 with a two-run double for Western.

Arbor View 5, Palo Verde 2 — At Palo Verde, Evan McMahan tossed a five-hitter with no walks and nine strikeouts to lead the Aggies by the Panthers.

Adam Koutz went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and teammate Ryan Chen was 2-for-4 with a double, a run and two RBIs.

Nate Stepna went 2-for-2 with a run scored for Arbor View.

Legacy 25, Cheyenne 11 — At Cheyenne, Brayden Torres slugged two of the Longhorns’ six doubles in a six-inning win over the Desert Shields.

Avery Brandon was 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs an two RBIs, and Devon Bigby doubled, drove in three runs and scored three for Legacy, which led 14-1 entering the bottom of the fourth inning.

Lamon Harvey smacked two doubles for Cheyenne.

Spring Valley 11, Clark 1 — At Spring Valley, Jose Rosales-Rodarte tossed a five-inning three-hitter with seven strikeouts and went 2-for-2 with a double, two runs and two RBIs as the Grizzlies routed the Chargers.

Dylan Drachler was 2-for-3 with a triple, a double, two runs and three RBIs for Spring Valley.

Drew LaComb went 2-for-3 with a triple, two runs and an RBI for the Grizzlies, and teammate Cody Smith was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

Cimarron-Memorial 17, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Dominic Calabria went 3-for-3 with a triple, a double, three runs and three RBIs as the Spartans blitzed the Rattlers in five innings.

Gerald Robins went 3-for-3 with three runs and an RBI, and Josh Nuernberg was 2-for-2 with a home run, two runs and three RBIs for Cimarron.

Cimarron’s Ryan Corwin was 2-for-2 with a double, a run and two RBIs, and Matt Mosca was 1-for-2 with a triple, two runs and two RBIs.

Bonanza 17, Pahrump Valley 1 — At Pahrump, Sean Desoto went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, and Travis Ming was 2-for-3 with a home run as the Bengals blitzed the Trojans in five innings.

Adam Merino had two hits and two RBIs, and winning pitcher Nick Risucci tossed a five-hitter.

The Meadows 8, Pahranagat Valley 4 — At Alamo, Chase Marrs had three RBIs to help the Mustangs down the Panthers.
