Outlook: Most teams would cringe over having to replace the Division I-A state player of the year.

Picking up the slack of the graduated Diontae Jones (13.9 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game) won’t be easy for the Chargers, but plenty of talent returns from last year’s state championship team.

Olsen averaged 12 points and three assists per game, and teams with Jackson (10 ppg, 7.0 apg) in a formidable backcourt.

“We have a very experienced backcourt returning, and they are strong players with high expectations,” Beeten said. “Our frontcourt is young, but if they perform at the expected levels we set for them, this team could be a state championship competitor.”
