BASKETBALL: Troy Brown leads Centennial boys to OT win

Troy Brown scored all six of his team's points in overtime as Centennial's boys defeated Wilsonville (Ore.) 52-51 in the Capitol City Classic in Salem, Ore.

Brown, who finished with 24 points, scored all 11 of the team's points in the fourth quarter and overtime.

Centennial led 41-27 going into the fourth quarter before Wilsonville rallied, tying the game on a stick-back by Dylan Jordan with a second to go in regulation.

Roy Sparks added 12 points, and Jake Hutchings had 10 points for the Bulldogs, who play Timpview (Utah) in the championship game at 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

Tyler Hieb led Wilsonville with 25 points.

GIRLS

Justice Ethridge and Samantha Thomas each had 18 points Tuesday to help Centeninal's girls basketball team rally for a 75-66 win over Archbishop Mitty (Calif.) in the third-place game of the top bracket of the Nike Tournament of Champions in Gilbert, Ariz.

Jayden Eggleston added 12 points and seven rebound for the Bulldogs, who trailed 42-35 at the half, but outscored the Monarchs 19-10 in the third quarter to take the lead.

Melanie Isbell had 11 points, and Bailey Thomas scored 10 for Centennial.

Madeline Holland had 19 points, and teammate Krissy Miyahara scored 15 for Mitty.
