BOYS BASKETBALL: Gerad Davis, Pioneers roll to victory in Tournament of Champions

Gerad Davis poured in 29 points Thursday to help Canyon Springs’ boys basketball team pull away for an 88-51 win over Nathan Hale (Wash.) in the Tournament of Champions in Seattle.

Chris Nelson added 12 points for the Pioneers, who led only 36-28 at the half and had 13 players score in the game.

Gadisa Margarsa led Nathan Hale with 23 points.

Maranatha (Calif.) 60, Green Valley 57 — At San Diego, the Minutemen nipped the Gators in the Maxpreps Holiday Classic.

Troy Cropper had 21 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks, and Tyrell Crosby added 10 points and 17 rebounds for Green Valley.

West Valley (Calif.) 55, Boulder City 29 — At Menifee, Calif., Robert Brooks pumped in 21 points to lead the Mustangs by the Eagles in the Paloma Valley Winter Shootout.

Uzziah Kleinman added 11 points for West Valley.

Marcus Walker led Boulder City with 10 points.

Tustin (Calif.) 73, Del Sol 53 — At Tustin, Calif., Rob Nelsen had 20 points to lead the Tillers by the Dragons in the Estancia/Tustin Classic.

Brian Greer had 22 points and 10 rebounds, and Kyle Collins added 13 points for Del Sol.
