BOYS BASKETBALL: Landman, Trailblazers rally past Canyon Springs

Jason Landman scored 16 points as Durango's boys basketball team battled back from an early 10-point deficit to top host Canyon Springs, 47-40, on Monday.

Chase Ruiz added 10 points for the Trailblazers, who fell behind 17-7 after one quarter, but outscored the Pioneers 25-14 in the middle quarters to grab the lead.

Marlon Tatum had 13 points, and teammate Elbert Bibbs scored 10 for Canyon Springs.

Cimarron-Memorial 71, Eldorado 67 — At Cimarron, Keiron Hatchett went 4-for-5 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter to help the Spartans hold off the Sundevils.

Elijah Coleman had 17 points, and LaRon Young added 14 points and seven rebounds for Cimarron. Hatchett had 13 points, and teammate Ja'Don Brown scored 10 for the Spartans, who got 10 rebounds from KeAnte Huddleston.

Shane Barnes scored 20 points to lead Eldorado. Carl Crayon had 16 points, and Dyllan Kounovsky added 10 points for the Sundevils.

Agassi Prep 76, Quest Academy 43 — At Agassi Prep, Akeemis Williams made seven 3-pointers and had 23 points to lead the Stars over the Knights.

Najeeb Muhammad added 10 points for Agassi Prep.

Steven Jackson led Quest with 17 points, and teammate Keilan Fleming added 10 points.
