Findlay Prep rides duo past St. Andrew’s
Nigel Williams-Goss had 19 points and Nick Johnson scored 18 to lead the Findlay Prep basketball team to a 76-57 win over St. Andrew’s (R.I.) on Sunday at the Hoophall Classic in Springfield, Mass.
Williams-Goss, a sophomore guard who has committed to UNLV, made 8 of 11 shots from the floor and grabbed nine rebounds.
Winston Shepard supplied 10 points and 15 rebounds for the Pilots, who outscored the Saints 28-12 in the paint. Texas signee Myck Kabongo contributed nine points and eight assists for Findlay Prep (18-2).
Syracuse signee Michael Carter-Williams led St. Andrew’s with 24 points on 8-for-22 shooting.
Findlay Prep, ranked No. 6 nationally by Rivals.com and No. 7 by ESPN Rise, will face Dallas Lincoln at noon Monday. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
