Greg Rogers still is learning the ins and outs of recruiting, so the standout defensive lineman from Centennial didn’t know that college coaches could begin contacting him and other members of the class of 2017 on Sept. 1. Luckily, Rogers found out just before his inbox was flooded.

Palo Verde’s Dressler looks to play in college

Grant Dressler went from being a role player as a junior to the Panthers” leading scorer this past season, and the 6-foot-7-inch late bloomer now is in line to continue his playing career at the next level. He is being recruited by Sacramento State, American, Eastern Washington and Maine.

Four Clark County high schools could drop down to Division I-A

As many as four Clark County schools could be competing for state titles in a different division of the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association next year. The NIAA”;s Board of Control approved moving up to four schools from Division I to Division I-A for the start of the 2014-15 school year.
